Figure 8 Madness now set for Sunday, July 7th

Anderson Speedway officials have announced that the Best Way Disposal Figure 8 Madness presented by the Scrounge Around has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 7th due to forecasted inclement weather. In conjunction with the event’s partners and the fireworks company that will be conducting the display, it was determined that Sunday, July 7th would be the best date for the event. All divisions scheduled to compete on Thursday, July 4th will all be competing on Sunday, July 7th.

‘The weather forecast for Thursday has been consistent calling for a lot of rain and storms. The safety of our fans, competitors and staff are paramount in making this decision” per Rick Dawson, Speedway President. “We will have the same exciting show Sunday with Figure 8 action including school buses and trailer races. Of course we will have a big fireworks show at the conclusion of the night.”

Pit gates for the Sunday, July 7th show will open at 3:30pm and spectator gates will open at 4:00pm. Cars will hit the track at 5:00pm for practice and qualifications will be conducted at 5:30pm. Staying true to its original time slot, the Best Way Disposal Figure 8 Madness presented by the Scrounge around will go green at 7:00pm. The always entertaining night of racing will be followed by the Tom Wood Honda Fireworks Display.
