Doug Dugger used the high groove to pass Brad Kendle on lap eight down the back straight and went on to record his second consecutive win in Thunder Roadster action.
Point leader John Robbins got around Kendle two laps later but was never to close the gap on Dugger.
Mark Dietzen lost positions to Dugger and Robbins on lap three when he drifted high in the second corner. He was able to pass Kendle on the 11 th circuit with an inside pass entering turn one.
Dietzen, Kendle and Dave Osborn rounded out the top five.
In the heat race, Dietzen led the entire distance to record his second win of the year.
He was chased the entire way by Dugger and Robbins. Marty Griffin passed Rodney Oliver for fourth with an inside pass coming off the second corner.
Robbins set fast time in qualifying followed by Dugger and Griffin. Robbin’s time was 13.494-seconds.
