CRA Street Stocks could see a 7th winner this weekend
ANDERSON – Will the 150-lap race for the CRA Street Stocks see a seventh driver score a victory in as many events.
The Champion Racing Association Street Stocks return Saturday to Anderson Speedway for a third time on CB Fabricating night.
Jimmy Kirby won a 75-lap race earlier this year and Ryan Amonett captured a 150-lap event previously.
Andrew Teepe is the most recent race winner in the series.
Local Vores Welding & Steel Street Stock winners include Josh Poore, Andrew Cook and Xavier King. For Cook and King is was their first career wins in the Street Stocks.
CRA point leader Dalton Conner has won two events in the local Modified Division which returns in action.
There have been five different winners in Modified action with JP Crabtree the most recent winner in his first start in a Modified at Anderson Speedway.
Nathan Greene, Joe Beaver and Jacob Owens have all recorded visits to the Riley & Sons Victory Lane.
The team of drivers of Greene and Crabtree hold a slim two-point lead over Tyler DeHart in the championship race with Owens only eight points back.
Jeff Marcum will be seeking his fourth win of the season in the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Marcum has one win in the local series and has three CRA Late Model Sportsman wins at the track.
Crabtree and Tommy Cook have all visited victory lane.
Qualifying is set for 6 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids age 6-12, and free for all kids 5 and under.
