Conner, Marcum score feature wins
For the third time this season Dalton Conner won an Anderson Modified division race making the Greenfield driver perfect on the year.
JP Crabtree set fast time during qualifying and with the invert it put David McConnell and Andrew Evans on the front row.
A lap wasn’t completed before McConnell spun on the back straight with Kevin Rabenstein and Jacob Owens coming to a stop against the back straight retaining wall.
Owens in the running for the championship rejoined the field on the tail while Rabenstein was unable to continue.
Crabtree took the lead on lap eight with an inside move existing turn two.
Conner took the lead from Crabtree on lap 21 when they were confronted by slower competitors.
Crabtree opted to take the high line around a slower car and Conner was able to slip inside to take the top spot.
At the finish it was Conner, Crabtree, McConnell, Andrew Evans and Jacob Owens rounded out the top five.
Morristown’s Jeff Marcum scored his second feature win and fifth overall in McGunegill Engine Performance Late Model competition.
Marcum set fast time during qualifying and took the lead on the fourth lap with a pass of early leader Chance Gross.
He pulled away to win by 2.4 seconds over Ryder VanAlst followed by Gross, Tanner Ballard and Mike Sargent.
