Annual Turkey Bash Closes Anderson Speedway Season

As has become a tradition the 5th annual Turkey Bash will mark the end of the 2017 racing season at Anderson Speedway with competition in six different divisions for 155 laps of feature action.
The Turkey Bash normally produces good car counts in all divisions since it is the last race of the season in the Midwest with drivers making the trip from Ohio on a regular basis.
Street Stock Division competitors will be in action for 30 laps. There has never been a repeat winner in Turkey Bash action with Jeff Lane, Will Kimmel, Brian Hopkins and Josh Sage scoring victories on the high banked quarter-mile oval.
Andrew Teepe won the feature event during the 2nd annual Tom Wood Auto Group Stock Car Festival. Josh Poore was crowned season champion in the division on the strength of seven feature wins.
The Thunder Car drivers will be competing in a 30-lap race which has also never seen a repeat winner in Turkey Bash competition. Season champion Jeremy Threet and Ricky Tharp have recorded wins in the past. AJ Stewart got his first career win at Anderson Speedway during the Stock Car Festival.
The Marcum Welding Front Wheel Drive division will be in action in which Ethan Pope and Nick Warner have scored wins in the past. Warner won the feature in the most recent race for the division.
The Pro Compacts will be in action with Andy Jennings coming off a victory during Stock Car Festival action. Previous winners include Chris Jennings and Tharp.
The Thunder Roadsters will be in action along with the Front Wheel Drive competitors in Figure-8 action. Anderson driver Warner has won two Turkey Bash features in cross-over action with Ronnie Phipps and Tharp also recording feature victories.
