ANDERSON, IN – In conjunction with the Vores Compact Touring Series, Anderson Speedway Officials have announced the return of First Responders Night to Anderson Speedway. In what has become an annual occurrence, Anderson Speedway and the Vores Compact Touring Series continue to show their utmost appreciation for first responders and their families.
“We are humbled that Anderson Speedway would partner with VCTS to honor our Police, Fire, EMS and all our first responders who put their lives on the line for us every day,” said Steve Vore of the Vores Compact Touring Series. “We never forget the sacrifices like the Richmond and Elwood police departments and Farmland Fire Department have made for its citizens in the past year. We look forward to recognizing them all on Saturday, September 16th at Anderson Speedway”.
As part of this special night, both the Vores Compact Touring Series and Anderson Speedway have agreed to name the 100 lap feature for the compacts the Chad Iliff Classic. Iliff was an avid VCTS fan who passed away unexpectedly in July. The series will honor his fandom by naming this event after him.
Three series will be in action on Saturday, September 16th for First Responders Night. In addition to the Vores Compact Touring Series, the CRA Street Stocks and CRA Late Model Sportsman series will both be in action in 75-lap features. Fans will once again be treated to a special pace car for the night’s festivities as the Vores Compact Touring Series will be using the Farmland Fire Department First Responder unit to pace the field during their 100-lap feature.
Once again, Anderson Speedway will show their appreciation for first responders and their families by gaining FREE admission to all active first responders with valid ID and a guest of their choice.
