ANDERSON – Although Mother Nature prevented the opening of the 2026 season at Anderson Speedway, action is slated to kick-off the year on Saturday.
Anderson Speedway will kick racing action for the 79th time this Saturday with competitors in three local divisions and the return of the Vores Compact Touring Series for 50 laps on the quarter-mile.
Topping the racing card is the USA Tire Modifieds which have produced some of the closest racing at the track the past two years.
Defending champion Josh Poore, who scored three feaure wins a year ago, is returning to defend his title.
A year ago Dalton Conner won two events and Andy Cowan also visited the winner’s circle.
Several new teams have been testing at the Speedway along with returning veterans Joe Beaver, RJ Norton and Tyler DeHart.
Bo Hoeslscher is coming off a victory to open the 2026 campaign at the Shady Bowl Speedway in Ohio and is no stranger to the winner’s circle at Anderson Speedway.
He won one of the two events in 2025 with Justin Brown claiming the 100-lap feature a year ago.
The Knapp Supply Ford Division returns to action where four drivers scored win in 2025 and Caleb Burge was crowned the champion.
The Beaver Contracting Legends produced six different winners in 2025 with John Robbins emerging as the champion.
Winners included Conner, visiting driver Dennis Chisholm, Matt Holmstead III, Xavier King, Greg Rudzik and Robbins all capturing feature events.
Qualifying is set for 4:30 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $15, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and free under five.
