INDIANAPOLIS – Continuing its commitment to Indiana-based properties, the PRI Hoosier 500 is proud to announce historic Anderson Speedway will become title sponsor of the popular Veterans 100 support race and serve as the Official Short Track of next year’s event.

The Anderson Speedway Veterans 100 is a preliminary event which will be held on Saturday, December 13 before Sunday’s PRI Hoosier 500 – a 40-lap race around the virtual Indianapolis Motor Speedway which mirrors the defunct Freedom 100.

“It is our pleasure to align with Anderson Speedway – an iconic track in the Indiana motorsports landscape,” said Tanner Watkins, president and co-owner of the PRI Hoosier 500. “Big thanks to Jared Owen and the folks at Anderson for the opportunity to work together in helping to promote not only the PRI Hoosier 500, but also the Little 500 in May.”

“In a community-driven event it only makes sense to partner with one of the greatest community-driven short tracks in our area,” said Ryan Schuld, chief development officer and co-owner of the PRI Hoosier 500. “Not only do they put on their marquee event, the Little 500, but they also put on short track racing all year long for the community to come together and enjoy. It’s an honor to partner with Anderson Speedway and their team!”

Anderson Speedway hosts the premiere undercard event to the Indianapolis 500 each Memorial Day weekend. The aforementioned Little 500 serves as a 500-mile pavement sprint car race on quarter-mile banked oval, boasting a who’s who list of winners across its 77 years of running.

In addition to their role as the title sponsor of the Veterans 100 and Official Short Track Partner of the PRI Hoosier 500, Anderson Speedway will also sponsor the Leaders Circle Award, given to the driver who leads the most laps in this year’s race.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the PRI Hoosier 500,” said Jared Owen, Vice President of Operations at Anderson Speedway. “There are many parallels between the Indianapolis 500 and our historic Little 500 Sprint Car Classic that we host every Memorial Day Weekend. The collaboration between us and the PRI Hoosier 500 will hopefully be the first step in helping to create the next great Indianapolis auto racing tradition.”

The 77th edition of the Little 500 at Anderson Speedway will be held Saturday, May 24th at Anderson Speedway. Tickets and camping for the venerable sprint car race are available now and can be purchased at showpass.com/o/anderson-speedway/.
