Anderson Speedway officials are pleased to announce that next Saturday, September 17th will be First Responders Night presented by McGowan Insurance Group and Knapp Supply. The night will feature four different racing series as the Vores Compact Touring Series presented by Mercer County Electric, USSA Kenyon Midgets, Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks, and VORES Welding & Steel CRA Late Model Sportsmans take to the high banks of Anderson Speedway.
“We are excited to spotlight our first responders during a night of racing at Anderson Speedway,” said Jared Owen, VP of Operations at Anderson Speedway. “Steve Vore and Dan Redmond came to us with the idea to honor our first responders, and we couldn’t have said ‘yes’ faster!”
As part of this special night, ALL active first responders and a guest of their choice will gain free admission for the event, courtesy of Steve Vore and Anderson Speedway. Drivers will be displaying a sticker on their race cars to show their support for first responders, and the first 1000 fans to enter the facility will also receive one of these exclusive stickers provided by SERVPRO of Central Ohio’s Auglaize, Hardin and Logan counties. Anderson Speedway is also asking that all fans, who wish to participate, forgo wearing their favorite racing shirt and wear a shirt that shows support for their favorite First Response Organization.
“After reflecting on what has taken place in the last month in central Indiana, now more than ever we need to show our Police, Fire and EMS personnel our appreciation,” said Steve Vore. “They are putting their lives on the line everyday for us. I thank you for everything you sacrifice to keep us safe.”
Front Gates for the First Responders Night presented by McGowan Insurance Group and Knapp Supply will open at 4pm with rotating practice to follow. Qualifying will begin at 5:30pm and green flag racing is set for 7:00pm. Adult Tickets are $15, Kids (6-12) $5, and Ages 5 and under Free. All of the nights racing action will be streamed LIVE on Racing America.
