ANDERSON, IN – After an absence of several years Anderson Speedway is returning the ever popular School Bus Figure-8 to the traditional July 4th racing program.
The traditional July 4 Figure-8 Madness racing program sponsored by Cricket Wireless and Anderson Madison County Visitors Bureau is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday.
One of the highlights of the night is the return of the School Bus Figure-8 along with the popular trailer race.
The Outlaw Figure-8 Series will be in action with a 50 lap feature with feature events for the Hart’s Figure-8 division and a Figure-8 race for the Front Wheel Drive division.
Darrin Greenwell and Jesse Tunny have recorded Outlaw Figure-8 Series wins in southern Indiana. The series is visiting Anderson Speedway for the first time in 2017.
Curtis Chapman has recorded two wins and Ronnie Phipps a victory in Hart’s Figure-8 racing this year.
The Figure-8 action will serve as a tune-up for the National Crown on July 15.
The night will be capped off with a fireworks display.
Qualifying is set for 5:30 with racing at 7 p.m. Adult tickets are priced at $13 and $4 for children between the ages of five and 12.
