The Mel Kenyon Midget Series highlights Anderson Speedway’s Summer Special this Saturday.
Adult tickets are priced at $5 during Summer Special night with racing in the Kenyon Midgets, ThunderCars, Marcum’s Welding Pro Compacts and Front Wheel Drive Figure-8.
Three different drivers have pulled into the winner’s circle at the historic quarter-mile oval in Kenyon Midget racing this season. Kyle Hamilton, Nick Hamilton and Dameron Taylor have recorded victories.
Taylor won the last race in an exciting battle with Nick Hamilton taking the lead in the final corner on the last lap.
Markleville driver Randy Hoppes has won three ThunderCar features in a row after Jerry Swinford Jr. won the first event.
There have been four different winners in Marcum’s Welding Pro Compact action with Jeff Williams and Matt Tharp both scoring their second feature wins of the season last weekend.
Nick Warner and Ron Phipps have also recorded victories in the division.
Mike Alley won the first Front Wheel Drive Figure-8 feature last Monday when the two front runners tangled on the next to last lap.
Qualifying is set for 6:30 p.m. with racing action starting at 8 p.m.
Adult tickets are priced at $5 with a $4 admission cost for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Children ages 5 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
