Anderson Speedway Opening Weekend Canceled for Weather

Anderson Speedway officials have announced that on track activities for the 79th Annual Opening Weekend at Anderson Speedway has been canceled due to forecasted wet weather. Canceled activities include Open Practice on Friday, April 3rd, and Opening Night on Saturday, April 4th. The Open Practice for All Divisions scheduled for April 3rd has been rescheduled for Friday, April 10th. A reschedule date for the divisions previously scheduled for April 4th is TBD at this time.

“Unfortunately, another Opening Night at Anderson Speedway has been affected by Mother Nature,” said Jared Owen – VP Of Operations at Anderson Speedway. “We were really excited to kick off our 79th season, and we could feel the excitement from all the team’s & fans. With the forecasted wet weather that we are seeing, we don’t feel like we will have a window to get this event in as scheduled. We look forward to kicking off our season on Saturday, April 11th, and we will be ready to welcome everyone back to Anderson Speedway for another season!”
