Redbud 400 Set for July 24–25, 2026 at Anderson Speedway
A Historic Shift as Late Models and Street Stocks Headline for the First Time

Anderson, IN — Anderson Speedway is proud to announce a landmark moment in one of short-track racing’s most prestigious traditions as the 60th Redbud 400 Weekend takes place July 24–25, 2026. For the first time in the six-decade history of the event, the Redbud will be headlined by Late Models and Vore’s Welding & Steel Street Stocks, marking a major shift and a return to the event’s grassroots by showcasing local race cars and local teams.

The anniversary edition of the Redbud represents a celebration of both heritage and community. Traditionally known for hosting national-level super late model competition, the 2026 Redbud pivots toward honoring the foundational divisions that have long shaped Anderson Speedway’s identity. The decision reconnects the Redbud with its earliest spirit — intense short-track battles fought by hometown racers.

The weekend launches Friday, July 24, with an optional practice session from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., giving teams valuable track time ahead of Saturday’s full program. Practice, Qualifying and Features will take place on Saturday. Racing officially begins on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m.

Both the Late Models and Street Stocks will compete in 200-lap features, boasting 30 car starting fields, and combining for 400 laps of action-packed racing. Caution laps will count, and a 10-minute break at lap 100 will give teams a strategic reset before the final push to the checkered flag. All divisions will operate under a four-tire impound format for the feature.

In celebration of the 60th running, Anderson Speedway is also welcoming fans to camp on-site for free throughout the entire Redbud weekend. Whether arriving in RVs, trailers, or tents, all attendees are invited to stay on the grounds at no cost, making the Redbud 400 an even more fan-friendly, community-driven event. Campers are encouraged to arrive early, settle in, and enjoy a full weekend of racing energy, camaraderie, and tradition. Just as a reminder to our friends that will be camping, Anderson Speedway does not have water or electric hookups available in the campground.

Both divisions will also compete for identical purses, each paying $5,000 to win and distributing $26,700 in total payout, with a guaranteed $500 to all starters.
