Fiedler Dominates Night of Thrills

ANDERSON – From the start of the 20-minute Grocery Getter enduro at Anderson Speedway it proved to be a dominating performance for Justin Fiedler.

Fiedler led the entire distance Saturday setting a new record for laps completed at 69 and winning by a lap over Ron Phipps and Doug Sheets.

Fiedler was chased for the first 40 laps by Sheets, who have way to Phipps for the second spot by lap 50.

The leader worked his way through slower traffic to prevail for the first time in three Grocery Getter enduro races on the Night of Thrills.

Once I got out front, I wanted to stay there,” Fiedler said in the Hoosier Lottery Victory Lane.

The Prairie Farms Trailer Race was won by Jordan Tharp on the final circuit.

For most of the race the top spot was a battle between Trevon Henson and Nick Warner.

But on the final lap the two leaders tangled coming to the crossover off the second corner. Warner spun and lost his trailer and Henson suffered suspension damage allowing Tharp to secure the victory.

Mulberry driver Aaron Myers took control of the first ever Switchback race at Anderson Speedway opening up a comfortable lead at the start with the competitors had to drive in reverse for three laps.

Myers finished a lap ahead of Rickie Craig and Brandon Kraese.

Regular Speedway competitor Ronnie Phipps won the pole race over Kraese and Myers.

Chris Farley was crowned the champion of the Roll Over competition making two complete rolls in three attempts. Rickie Craig and last year’s winner Trevon Flippon each completed one complete roll over during the event.
