ANDERSON – The nation’s oldest continuous stock car race is set for this weekend at Anderson Speedway.
The Knapp Supply Ford Division drivers will be looking to add their name to the winners of the 76th running of the National Crown.
The Ford Division drivers will be competing in the 50-lap Figure-8 competition with the Modifieds and Beaver Contracting Legends on the racing program.
Mike Phipps is the defending National Crown winner with Rickie Tharp II winning in 2023 and Rickie Tharp claiming the title in 2022.
Phipps captured the National Crown after 25 years of trying for the victory.
Curtis Chapman is a two-time winner of the National Crown winning in 2001 and 2010. Nick Warner was the 2008 champion.
John Robbins is the current point leader maintaining a slim margin over Caleb Burge with Chapman in the third position.
Josh Poore, a two-time winner in Modified competition is the current point leader over Joe Beaver and Tyler DeHart.
Xavier King is the Legends point leader with Johnny Weaver only eight points back with Robbins in a close third.
Qualifying is set for 6 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Adults tickets are $18, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and free under five.
