ANDERSON – Three touring series will be in action this weekend at Anderson Speedway on First Responders Night presented by McGowan Insurance.
All first responders will be admitted free to the grandstands for racing action in the Champion Racing Association Late Model Sportsman and Street Stocks and the Vores Compact Touring Series.
Seven-time McGunegill Engine Performance track champion Jeff Marcum is looking to make history in the 75-lap CRA Sportsman Late Model feature.
Marcum is currently tied with Jason Atkinson with 15 career wins.
The Morristown driver has dominated sportsman late model events at the speedway and is seeking a record making victory.
Zach Stacy is the current point leader with a 57-point margin over Logan Huckeba.
The CRA Street Stocks will be contesting a 75-lap feature with defending champion Dalton Conner holding an 81 -point lead over Andrew Teepe.
Teepe has won the last two CRA Street Stock events at Anderson and Winchester speedways.
The Vores Compact Touring Series will be in action for the longest race of the year a 100-lap feature event.
Local driver Tom Gossar will be entering the night with a slim 19-point lead over Oho driver Jake Albright.
The local Thunder Roadsters will be competing in a 25-lap feature event.
Qualifying is set for 5:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids age 6-12, and free for all kids 5 and under.
