The Little 500 Festival invites all girls ages 17 to 21 who live or attend school in Madison County to apply for the Little 500 Festival Queen Scholarship. Since the Festival’s start in 1988, it has provided over $20,000 in scholarships to local, young women who want to pursue their college or vocational careers. Each candidate needs to write a one page essay on volunteerism and fill out an application that includes their extra-curricular/community activities. Two ladies, the queen and a runner-up, will be selected for scholarships. Both will be involved with the Little 500 Festival and the Payless Little 500. All applications need to be postmarked by March 30, 2015 and sent to Anderson Speedway PO Box 2440 Anderson, IN 46018 or emailed to agreenway@andersonspeedway.com.
