Butcher Looks to Defend Redbud

Just one year ago Cole Butcher won the Redbud 400. This season he will look to go back to back and be the first repeat winner since Dick Trickle did it in 1987 and 1988. Butcher already has two wins on the season having won the Sunshine State 200 and the Tar Heel 250.

 

12 States and 2 Provinces of Canada represented

Drivers from all over the United States will converge on the Historic Quarter Mile Oval on Saturday July 20th. Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Massachusetts, Illinois and Wisconsin will all be represented. Nova Scotia and Ontario will be represented by our neighbors to the north.

 

Local Flavor Looking to Spice Things Up

5 Drivers from the state of Indiana will be on hand. Look for Scott Tomasik, Dakoda Armstrong, Brett Robinson, Billy Van Meter, and JP Crabtree to all try and defend the home turf.

 

Casey Roderick Looks to Stay on Top

He comes into Anderson with a 24 point lead over Cole Butcher. Roderick picked up his first super late model win in 2024 last Saturday at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Look for Roderick to use that momentum and stay on top of the point standings.

 

Familiar Face in Unfamiliar Car

Albert Francis has been a staple in the ASA STARS National Tour behind the wheel of the black, red and white 33. On Saturday July 20th Francis will hop behind the wheel of the Donnie Wilson Motorsports 24 car.

 

Ruggiero Ready to Get Back to Victory Lane

He currently sits 4th in ASA STARS National Tour points. Ruggiero is looking for that first win in 2024 with the ASA STARS National Tour. Ruggiero has three top 10 finishes including a 3rd place at Five Flags Speedway back in March. Ruggiero finished 2nd in this event just one year ago.

 

Rookie Battle Heating Up

While Dawson Sutton leads the Rookie of the Year battle by 75 points, the battle for second is close. Kyle Steckly is in 2nd but is only ahead of Caden Kvapil by 6 points. As we head into the second half of the season anything can happen.

 

Derek Kraus Eager For Redbud 400

Stratford, WI native Derek Kraus will be back behind the wheel of the 9 car for the Redbud 400. Kraus has run 4 out of the 5 ASA STARS National Tour races thus far. Kraus currently has a part time ride in the NASCAR Cup Series with Kaulig Racing. The former ARCA West Champion will make his Redbud debut this Saturday night July 20th.

 

58th Annual Redbud 400

This year marks the 58th Annual Redbud 400. The event has been run every single year since Iggy Katona won the inaugural event back in 1967. The best Late Model drivers of all time have run this race with the hopes of adding their name to the historic list of Redbud 400 winners.
