The team at Anderson Speedway is deeply saddened by the loss of Sue Dawson, Mother of Track Owner Rick Dawson. Sue passed away on Sunday, October 3. Sue has helped at the track behind the scenes since Rick purchased the track in 1997. Her duties stemmed from entertaining guest in the suites, to daily trash collection in the office. She was known to bring weekly snacks and playing little pranks on the office staff. Her love and dedication will be forever missed. Sue and her husband Dick were married for 64 years. Visitation hours will take place at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home in New Castle on Thursday, October 7 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral is set for 10:00am on Friday at Hinsey-Brown in New Castle on Friday, October 8.
