We regret to inform you that Anderson Speedway has lost one of our smiling faces. Dixie “Granny” Denham passed away Sunday, July 18. She has been greeting competitors, staff and fans at our pit gate for many years. Granny was a fixture at the pit gate anytime the track was open for business. She will be remembered with that contagious smile as you entered the gate and the wave goodbye as you left. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana, with Chaplain Larry Avery officiating.
