57th Pay Less / Remy International Little 500 Bump Day, Families / Forever Free Night On Friday

The 33-car starting field will be set with the second round of qualifications for the 57th Pay Less / Remy International Little 500 on Friday, May 27 at Anderson Speedway.

Later that night, the Families Forever / Primerica Free Night will take place. The MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series will feature Insight ThunderCars in Oval and Figure 8 racing, Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives in Oval and Figure 8 action and an awesome fireworks show.

Second round qualifications will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon with the Families Forever / Primerica Free Night getting started at 7. Admission is free.

After three events in the Insight ThunderCar Oval division, Alexandria’s Alice Riall sits atop the point standings. Three consecutive top-five finishes and one victory have enabled Riall to hold a 13 point advantage over Roy Grissom Sr. Ranking third is last weeks runner-up Brandon Phillips with rookie Lonny Burton and A.J. Jones completing the top five.

Scoring two feature wins in the opening four Insight ThunderCar Figure 8 races, Paris Swallows Jr. is the current point leader. Second is Mike Peters in the Herb Rose owned entry. Robert Brumback is third with early season winners Terry Malone Jr. and Billy Riddle rounding out the top five performers.

Kreigh Leever advanced to the top of the Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive Oval division after scoring his second victory on May 20. He leads Nick Warner by 27 markers with Sam Folsom in third position. The remainder of the top five includes Dustin Burge and Kevin Harmon.

The Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s has been dominated by Nick Warner. He has scored victories in each of the three events and leads Randy Owen by 60 markers in the season point standings. Third is Allen Wagner, with Keith Morris and Chris Teepe filling out the top five.

On Saturday, May 28, the 57th Pay Less / Remy International Little 500 will take place with the green flag waving at 8 p.m. Thirty-three Sprint Cars in 11 rows of 3 will be featured in the richest Sprint Car asphalt event.
