Adding another highlight to his
impressive stock racing career, Canadian Legend Junior Hanley earned the pole
position for tonight’s NationsRent 400 presented by Corteco and Great Deals at
Anderson Speedway.
Driving the No. 66 Martin Services Chevrolet, Hanley toured the quarter-mile
oval in 12.063 seconds at 74.608 mph. Hanley timed in 0.65 seconds quicker than
Terry Fisher Jr. Third fastest in pole qualifications was Chris Gabehart with
Joe Beaver and Frank Kreyer filling out the top five.
Defending NationsRent 400 winner Bobby Parsley timed in sixth fastest with South
Bend’s J.R. Roahrig, 2000 series champion Scott Hantz, Steve Moenck and Eddie
Van Meter rounding out the top 10.
A warm-up session is set for 5 p.m. with an on-track autograph session scheduled
for 6. The 38th Annual NationsRent 400 presented by Corteco and Great Deals goes
green at 8.
Adult general admission tickets are $20 with children ages 6-12 priced at $10.
