After icy conditions and the loss of power forced the January 5 edition of the Track Talk Radio Show off the air, the lineup of guests will return for next weeks show. Bush Trophy Case & Embroidery New Year's Day feature winners Curtis Chapman and Nick Warner along with runner-up finisher Brad Stevens will be guests on the Wednesday, January 12 edition of Anderson Speedway’s Track Talk Radio Show on WHBU 1240 AM.

The one-hour racing radio show is broadcast every Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. inside the Anderson Mounds Mall, hosted by veteran track announcer Denny Adams and Public Relations/Office Manager Kyle Larson.

Chapman had an eventful day in racing action at Anderson Speedway on January 1, competing in Open Street Stocks and both Insight ThunderCar Oval and Figure 8 events. He led the opening 13 circuits of the Figure 8 event, before coming together with Rod Phipps with two laps to go and dropping to a third-place finish.

In the Open Street Stock 30-lap feature, Chapman darted into first position at the drop of the green flag, but then heading into the first turn, the throttle stuck on his No. 8 Chapman Construction entry. He finished 24th in the final rundown.

The Anderson resident responded in the Insight ThunderCar Oval feature, leading the final 19 circuits to score the victory. He passed Josh Poore on the second circuit and held off several challenges from Rod Phipps during the event that featured 36 cars in the starting field.

Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive competitor Nick Warner had an outstanding day, collecting feature wins in both Figure 8 and Oval events to claim the six foot trophies. In the oval feature, Warner drove his No. 09 car into leadership honors at the start, pacing the entire 15-lap distance.

The Anderson resident also scored top honors in the Figure 8 main event. He bypassed Randy Owen on the fifth lap and then recovered from a near crash with a lapped car to record the feature win.

Brad Stevens also enjoyed some success during the 7th Annual Bush Trophy Case & Embroidery New Year’s Day Bash, recording second-place honors in the Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drive Oval feature.
