If a vehicle has four wheels and a motor former NASCAR star Kenny Schrader is going to race it. Over the years Schrader has competed at Anderson Speedway in an ARCA stock car, modified and has made four starts in the Pay Less Little 500. This Saturday Schrader will be competing in the Vore’s Compact Touring Series event at the high banked quarter-mile oval. Traditionally the Vore’s Compact Touring Series brings more than 30 cars to compete at Anderson Speedway and this weekend should see plenty of competitors on hand. Schrader, in the 1980's won USAC Silver Crown and Sprint Car championships, has recorded four NASCAR Cup wins and has won 18 times with ARCA.

Deuces were wild at Anderson Speedway as three drivers all scored back to back feature wins in their respective divisions. Jeff Marcum, Jacob McElfresh and Chad Cory all recorded victories on Byrider Night at the Races on Saturday with Terry Eaton Jr. winning the Vore’s Compact Touring Series feature.

There was plenty of rubbing and racing during Carter Express Night of Thrills on Labor Day. The action in the Figure-8 course started with the first feature of the night and ended with a melee during the Prairie Farms Trailer Race.

Nine-time Pay Less Little 500 champion Eric Gordon bumped his way into the starting field with the fastest laps during The Tin Plate Fine Food and Spirits Bump Day qualifying. Three-time race and pole winner Kody Swanson will lead the 33-car field to the start. He is joined on the front row by Tyler Roahrig and Caleb Armstrong. Gordon’s time on Thursday was disallowed for a tire infraction, but was the first driver to make the field Friday on Tin Plate Bump Day at Anderson Speedway. Gordon toured the high-banked quarter mile for four-laps at a time of 46.428-seconds and will start 22nd in the field.

Anderson, IN …  Forecasted rain after 2pm has prompted Anderson Speedway officials to postpone The Carter Express Night of Thrills presented by Intersect – Breathe Easy Madison County. Nearly every weather resource available is predicting poor weather conditions Saturday afternoon and evening.

The Carter Express Night of Thrills presented by Intersect – Breathe Easy Madison County has been rescheduled for Monday, September 6 with the same schedule of Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drive Corkscrew Figure 8, Hart’s Auto Center Ford Division Figure 8, Roll Over Contest, School Bus Figure 8 and Prairie Farms Trailer Race Figure 8 plus Fireworks.  Gates will open at 4:30pm with Racing beginning at 7pm.  Adult admission is $15, Kids 6-12 $5 and 5 and under FREE!

The ticket office will be open for advance ticket purchase until 4pm Saturday, closed Sunday and after 9:30am on Monday.
