Anderson Speedway Releases 2006 Schedule

Action Entertainment has released the tentative 2006 racing schedule for Anderson Speedway. Returning will be the Super Trucks, Street Stocks and Figure 8’s on Saturdays and Legends, ThunderCars and Front Wheel Drives on Friday Nights. Additionally, a new Friday division will also be featured, the ThunderCar Pro division and the Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 division will now be open to any driver.

The 2006 schedule kicks off with the 8th Annual New Year’s Day Bash presented by Yellow Book on Sunday, January 1, featuring Open Street Stocks, Insight ThunderCars Oval, Figure 8’s, and Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives (Oval & Figure 8).

A pair of March Madness dates are scheduled on March 11 and March 18 showcasing Open Street Stocks, Insight ThunderCars Oval, Figure 8’s, Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives (Oval & Figure 8) and Legends.

April 1 is the opening night for the Ed Martin Auto Group Super Trucks, Terry’s RV Sales & Service Street Stocks and Boss Hogg Catering & Jerky Figure 8’s. In addition, the Insight ThunderCar division will be featured on opening night.

The MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer Series kicks off on Friday, May 5 with the Legends, Insight ThunderCars & Pro divisions and Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives (Oval & Figure 8).

Some of the many special events this year at Anderson Speedway include three Nights of Thrills, CRA Super Series Late Models, Ford Focus Midgets, ARCA Lincoln Welders Trucks, ThunderCar Enduro, Street Stock 250, Indy URL Trucks, USA Modified Tour, X2RA Midgets, Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series and the 9th Annual Stock Car Festival.

The 58th Pay Less / Remy International Little 500 will again be the premier event of the 2006 season, taking place on Saturday, May 27, with the top asphalt sprint car racers in the country.

The 2006 schedule will become official in the early part of January.
