March Motorsports Madness Set For Saturday Afternoon

After a two and half month hiatus, Anderson Speedway returns to racing action with the March Motorsports Madness on Saturday, March 19. This exciting racing lineup will feature Open Street Stocks, Legends, Insight ThunderCars in Oval and Figure 8 racing and Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives on the Oval and Figure 8.

In last year’s final March Motorsports Madness, nearly 70 cars battled on the world’s fastest quarter-mile oval. Former Figure 8 Champion Mike Riddle Jr. collected victories in both the Open Street Stocks and Insight ThunderCar Figure 8’s. Anderson’s Ronnie Rose grabbed top honors in the Insight Thunder Oval main event.

In a prelude to his impressive 2004 season, James Robertson won the Legends feature with Middletown’s Elliott McKinney victorious in the Chappy’s Rent to Own Front Wheel Drives.

Activities for March Motorsports Madness begin on Saturday, with the pit area opening at 10 a.m. and practice scheduled for 11 a.m. The spectator gates open at 11 a.m. with the racing program going green at 2 p.m. Open practice is also available for all divisions.

General admission tickets will be priced at $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-12 with kids five and under admitted free.
