Terry Malone Jr. Joins Forces
With Herb Rose

After previously announcing his return
to Insight ThunderCar Figure 8 racing, Terry Malone Jr. has decided to drive for
Anderson Speedway championship owner and driver Herb Rose. In the upcoming
season, Malone will wheel the No. 66 in the ThunderCar Figure 8 division.
“I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to drive for Herb Rose in 2005 and my goal
is to bring him a first ThunderCar Figure 8 championship,” said Terry Malone Jr.
“Working with Herb and Ronnie Rose this season is a great opportunity for me to
learn from some of the best in Figure 8 racing.”
While the main focus for Malone Jr. is the Insight ThunderCar Figure 8 points
title, he will make select appearances in Herb Rose’s No. 66 in the Boss Hogg
Catering & Jerky Figure 8 division. One the events they plan to compete in will
be the 56th National Crown on Saturday, July 23.

In 2004, competing in his initial ThunderCar Figure 8 campaign, Malone Jr.
recorded six top-five finishes and additionally scored 11 top 10s. His season
best effort was a second-place showing that initially took place on July 2 and
for the second occasion on July 23 during the MAX/WLBC Friday Night Summer
Series. Malone Jr. placed eighth in the final points tally.
Malone Jr. has enjoyed a great amount of success at Anderson Speedway during his
career. In the 2002 season, he earned the Insight ThunderCar Oval championship.
He has also gained experience in the Terry’s RV Sales & Service Street Stocks.
This season, Malone Jr. will drive Herb Rose’s No. 66 with sponsorship from Hog
House, Jones Auto Parts, B&F Machine Shop and Wyatt Furniture.
The Insight ThunderCar Figure 8 division makes its next appearance at Anderson
Speedway on March 12 during the opening weekend of March Motorsports Madness.
The first points race for the division is scheduled for Sunday, April 10,
joining the USAC National Midgets.
