Farewell to a Friend

It is with great sadness that Anderson
Speedway announces the passing of our Chief Technical Inspector Robert L. "Bob"
Remington on Sunday afternoon, February 5. Bob had been battling cancer for some
time with it going into remission around banquet time. It then came back with a
vengeance in early January to take Bob home to be with his God.
Bob was a racer and a competitor, but
above all was a fair, likable, fun loving guy who loved the sport of auto racing
and loved his God. His knowledge in our tech inspections will be vastly missed.
Without a doubt, we will all be better people and respect each other more
because we knew Bob Remington.
On behalf of the Ownership team and
Staff of Anderson Speedway, our sympathy goes out to Mary Ann and the entire
family. We thank you and we thank our God for sharing Bob with us. May his peace
be with you.
At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to the Frankton
Christian Church or to the Madison County Cancer Care Center where the family
would like to thank the special oncology nurses Stana and Tina for all their
love and prayers through Bob's cancer treatments and also a special thanks to
Missy in radiology.
