Second
generation racer Ronnie Rose plans to compete full time in the Ed Martin Auto
Group Super Trucks and Boss Hogg Catering & Jerky Figure 8 divisions during the
upcoming 2005 season at Anderson Speedway.
“We are working hard right now preparing Figure 8 cars and our Super Truck for
the season,” said Ronnie Rose. “Last year we put together a good first Super
Truck season, but our Figure 8 program suffered at the beginning of the season.
In 2005, I want to challenge for both the Super Truck and Figure 8 titles.”
Rose placed third in the 2004 Ed Martin Auto Group Super Truck point standings,
earning the DT’S R Bar Rookie of the Year honor. He captured two feature
victories, nine top-five finishes and 13 top 10s.
In
the Boss Hogg Catering & Jerky Figure 8 division, the Anderson competitor
competed on a part-time basis, recording two feature victories including his
first checkered flag in the prestigious Signature Design National Crown. Rose
also grabbed the victory in the one hour Figure 8 Enduro during the Titan Auto
Insurance Independence Celebration.
The
28-year-old Rose has gained a lot of experience at Anderson Speedway, competing
in several of the tracks divisions including Super Trucks, Figure 8’s and Street
Stocks. Some of his highlights include the 2003 Figure 8 championship, a
dominating victory in the 2004 National Crown and three top-five finishes (1994,
1995, 2002) in Street Stock title chases.
This season, Rose will receive sponsorship from B & F Machine Shop and Jones
Auto Parts in his quest for divisional championships in the Super Trucks and
Figure 8s.
Rose will make his 2005 debut at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, March 12, in
March Motorsports Madness, racing in both the Insight ThunderCar Oval and Figure
8 events.
