(October
20,
2013) - Running a limited schedule
with the Anderson Speedway Street Stocks,
Josh Poore put together a season that would
make other competitors envious.
Poore set fast time for the second time this
season on UAW Paint the Night Pink at
Anderson Speedway then led the final 27 laps
for his fourth win of the season.
Calvin Parham led the first 13 laps before
Poore got to the inside entering turn one to
take the top spot.
The driver on the move was 2012 Anderson
Speedway champion Jimmy Kirby, who started
fifth and quickly moved around Tyler Marsh
and Colby Lane after ten laps.
Lane and Kirby swapped the third spot
several times in the middle stages of the
race and on lap 27 Kirby was able to pass
Parham for second in the high groove coming
off the second corner. But before a lap was
completed
Lane spun, which returned Parham to the
second position.
Following the restart Poore went on to win
by 1.5-seconds over Parham with Kirby, Marsh
and Danny Adams rounding out the top five.
With his second place finish Parham captured
the Street Stock season championship with
Marsh finishing runner-up in the points.
