returns to action on Saturday, September 28
with four divisions featured on the
high-banked quarter-mile oval. The racing
lineup will showcase McGunegill Engine
Performance Late Models, Street Stocks,
Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s and IOFS Super
Karts.
Ronnie Rose paces the MEP Late Models will
two races remaining on the 2013 schedule.
Rose holds a 146 point lead on Rob Allman.
Both drivers have amassed four top-five
finishes this year. Thrid in the standings
is Joe Woodring with Chris Hacker and Jeff
Marcum rounding out the top five.
In the Street Stock division, Calvin Parham
leads the No. 31 Todd Marsh owned car driven
by Tyler Marsh and Wes Russell by 80 points.
Danny Adams ranks third with defending
champion Jimmy Kirby in fourth position.
Andrew Cook completes the top-five
performers.
Kevin Henson holds 222 point advantage over
Elliott McKinney in the Front Wheel Drive
Figure 8’s. Henson has a division leading
six feature victories. The remainder of the
top five includes Jamie Valentine, Mark
Allman and Brian McKinney.
David Reynolds has earned three IOFS Super
Karts wins at Anderson this season. The most
recent feature winner is Brad Kares, taking
the checkered flag on September 21.
On Saturday, September 28, spectator gates
open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at
8. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for
kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get
in free.
