(August 26,
2013) - All season long Doug Dugger
has been fast and in the hunt for victory in
every feature event, last Saturday the team
put it all together at Anderson Speedway.
Dugger set fast time
with a lap of 13.525-seconds, edging out
Marty Griffin. He then won the heat for the
fast qualifiers, which set his sights on a
sweep.
Chase Lane took the
early lead in the feature but Dugger was not
to be denied. On the second lap he got
inside of Lane going down the back straight
and pulled away from the competition.
The only thing that
slowed down Dugger’s charge to the checkered
flag was a caution flag on lap 16 when Larry
Fritz drifted high in turn three and forced
Darrell Brown into the turn three outside
retaining wall.
On the Aerco Heating and
Air Conditioning restart John Robbins
challenged Dugger on the outside, but Dugger
maintained the advantage entering turn
three.
At the checkers Dugger
won by 1.7-seconds over Robbins with Nate
Shrout, Griffin and Colby Lane rounding out
the top five.
Dugger led the entire
distance in the first heat for the fast
qualifiers followed by Griffin, Shrout and
Chase Lane.
The second heat win wen
to Robbins, who also led from start to
finish with Brown coming home in second.
Colby Lane, Eddie Richardson and Fritz
rounded out the top five.
