Performance and the Top Speed Fabrication
CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by
JEGS/McGunegill Engine Performance Late
Models will be in action on Friday, July 19
at Anderson Speedway. This is the first of
two days of Late Model racing with the
ARCA/CRA Super Series featured in the Stoops
Freightliner Redbud 300 presented by Qdoba,
Anderson/Madison County Visitors Bureau and
Hoosier Park on Saturday, July 20.
Topping the list of entries for Friday’s
Anderson 100 Presented by JEGS.com for the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour is two time winner
and current points’ leader Cody Coughlin.
The 17-year-old has rocketed to the top of
the points with series victories at Salem
Speedway and Dixie Motor Speedway.
Other top series competitors who are entered
include Dan Leeck, Tom Woodin, Jerrod Foley,
Wes Griffith Jr., Brian Royalty, Jordan
Miller, Tommy Cook, Keith Tolf and Josh
Nelms in the TK Racing #8. A large group of
Howie Lettow Rookie of the Year Presented by
Howe Racing candidates are also entered
including current rookie points leader Jake
Griffin, as well as fellow rookies Corey
Deuser, Kyle Crump, Kody Evans, Marc Jacobs,
Dominique Van Wieringen, Hunter Baize and
Jaxson Jacobs.
The winner of the last two series events at
Anderson Speedway, Illinois driver Trent
Snyder, will try for third straight series
Anderson victory. 2011 inaugural JEGS/CRA
All-Stars Tour Champion Erik Jones is
entered in the Scott Neal Racing No. 77.
Georgia hot shoe Bubba Pollard, Joe Cooksey
and two time CRA Late Model Sportsman
Champion Keith Sterkowitz will also be among
the challengers on Friday night.
Mark Lambert comes into Friday’s event as
the point’s leader in the Top Speed
Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman after
three events. 2012 series Champion KC
Spillers is currently second in points, only
five points behind Lambert. Jason Atkinson,
winner of two of the series three events
this season, including last Saturday’s event
at Anderson Speedway, is in third, four
points behind Spillers. Josh Cave is fourth
in points with Trey Craig, winner of the
series event on May 11th at Anderson
Speedway, in fifth place.
Rob Allman sits atop the McGunegill Engine
Performance Late Model point standings with
Ronnie Rose in second position. The
remainder of the top five includes Chris
Hacker, Jeff Williams with Joe Woodring in
fifth spot.
On Friday, July 19, an open practice for the
Redbud 300 cars only from 1:30 until 3:30
p.m. Practice for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars
Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and
the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model
Sportsman will begin at 4:30 with qualifying
at 6:15.
Friday night’s race program will begin at
7:30 and will include the Anderson 100
Presented by JEGS.com for the JEGS/CRA
All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet
Performance and the $1,500 to win PGG 75
Presented by Norrick Petroleum and Motion
Motors for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA
Late Model Sportsman/MEP Late Models.
On Friday, adult tickets are $15, children
6-12 are $4 with five and under admitted for
free. 2-Day Adult tickets are $30 with
children admitted for $12.
On Saturday, a two hour practice for the
ARCA/CRA Super Series will take place from 1
to 3 p.m., with qualifying for the Redbud
300 beginning at 4:15. There will be an
on-track autograph session with all the
drivers starting at 6, the green flag for
the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 will drop
at 7:30.
On Saturday, adult tickets are $25 with
children priced at $10.
