2013) - A huge night of racing
action will take place at Anderson Speedway
on Saturday, July 6 with special events for
the McGunegill Engine Performance Late
Models and Street Stock divisions. The Front
Wheel Drives Oval, Legends and Thunder
Roadsters will also be part of Herald
Bulletin Night at the Races.
The McGunegill Engine Performance Late
Models will be featured in the Thompson
Builders 75 presented by Motion Motors. The
race winner earns a payday of $1,500.
Drivers that have earned feature victories
this season include Keith Sterkowitz, Danny
Trent, Trey Craig and Rob Allman.
Calvin Parham sits atop the Street Stock
standings with a 50-point advantage over the
Todd Marsh owned car driven this year by
Todd Marsh and Wes Rusell. The remainder of
the top five includes Danny Adams, Jake
McElfresh and Jimmy Kirby. Saturday’s Motion
Motors 100 is a special non-point race
awarding $1,000 to the winner.
The closest points battle at Anderson
Speedway is taking place in the Front Wheel
Drive Oval division. Heading into Saturday’s
event, Paul Phipps leads Elliott McKinney by
just 10 points. The remainder of the top
five includes Trevin Henson, Austin McKinney
and the hard charging Jerry Dane.
The Thunder Roadsters will make their fourth
appearance at Anderson. Feature victories
have been claimed by James Edsell and Marty
Griffin.
John Robbins looks to extend his winning
streak in the Legends division. He finished
ahead of Mark Dietzen and Mike Carroll in
the most recent event on June 8.
On Saturday, July 6, spectator gates open at
5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8.
Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids
ages 6-12. Children five and under get in
free.
