to racing action on Saturday, June 29 with
Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model
Sportsman Series powered by JEGS, WMDH
ThunderCars, Thunder Roadsters and Front
Wheel Drives Oval.
For Trey Craig the third time proved to be
the charm as he finally passed Josh Cave
with 12 laps remaining to win the CRA Late
Model Sportsman event on May 11. K.C.
Spillers came home in second position
followed by Mark Lambert and Rob Allman.
Most recent feature winner Rob Allman sits
atop the McGunegill Engine Performance Late
Models point standings with Ronnie Rose in
second position and Jeff Williams completing
the top-three performers. Ronnie Phipps and
Jeff Marcum round out the top five.
Curtis Chapman continues to be perfect in
the WMDH ThunderCar division scoring feature
victories in each of the opening five
events. He holds a 88 point advantage over
Trent Gossar with Tom Gossar ranked in third
position. Rob Allman and Austin Russell
complete the top five in the standings.
The closest points battle at Anderson
Speedway is taking place in the Front Wheel
Drive Oval division. Heading into Saturday’s
event, Paul Phipps leads Elliott McKinney by
just 10 points. The remainder of the top
five includes Trevin Henson, Austin McKinney
and the hard charging Jerry Dane.
The Thunder Roadsters will do battle for the
third occasion this season at Anderson.
Feature victories have been claimed by James
Edsell and Marty Griffin.
On Saturday, June 29, spectator gates open
at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8.
Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids
ages 6-12. Children five and under get in
free.
