(June

2013) - Alexandria veteran John
Robbins swept Legends racing action at
Anderson Speedway last Saturday in
commanding fashion.
Aaron Holden took the
lead in the early stages of the feature
event, but Robbins and teammate Mark Dietzen
were the drivers on the move. Both passed
Mike Carroll on the second lap.
Robbins took command of
the race on lap 5 with an inside pass of
Holden entering turn three. Holden continued
to remain close to Robbins rear bumper until
lap 13 when he spun exiting the second
corner. Two laps later Holden made contact
with the turn two retaining wall.
Robbins went on to score
his third feature win of the season with
teammate Dietzen finishing second, followed
by Carroll. It was almost the same story line
in the heat race with Robbins passing
Carroll on the second lap entering turn
three with an inside move. From there he
went on to record the victory.
Dietzen, who has also
passed Carroll on the second lap, was passed
by Holden on the front straight in the low
groove to finish second.
Robbins set quick time
during qualifications with a lap of
14.133-seconds, which edged out Holden who
turned a lap of 14.201-seconds.
