CRA Street Stocks Return on Saturday

Anderson Speedway returns to racing action on Saturday, June 8 with CRA Street Stocks, WMDH ThunderCars, Legends and Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s.

The Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks powered by JEGS will make their second appearance at Anderson Speedway on Saturday Night. In the season debut at the quarter-mile oval on April 27, Dustin Burge used a power move on lap 63 passing Danny Smith coming off the fourth corner to win the Max Classic Rock 75. Josh Myers, Eddie Wolfe and Robert Amos rounded out the top-five finishers.

In the CRA season standings, Dave Bice holds a two-point advantage over Burge with Jim Crabtree Jr. listed in third position. The remainder of the top five includes Bret Miles Jr. and Eddie Wolf.

The Anderson Speedway Street Stock competitors will also be part of the event. Calvin Parham sits atop the point standings with Tyler Marsh in second and Danny Adams in third position. Jacob McElfresh ranks fourth with defending division champion Jimmy Kirby in fifth.

Curtis Chapman will look to extend his perfect record in the WMDH ThunderCars. The former Figure 8 champion has won all three events in the WMDH ThunderCars and also scored the victory in the ThunderCar 100 in March. Trent Gossar is second in the point’s rundown with Rob Allman, Tom Gosar and Austin Russell completing the top five.

The Legends return for their make-up feature on April 27 along with their regular scheduled appearance. In the most recent appearance on May 11,veteran driver John Robbins earned the victory with Eric Black and Cody Anderson filling out the podium finishers.

The Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s were added to the racing lineup to make-up for their postponement on June 1. Kevin Henson is 27 points ahead of Elliott McKinney in the standings. Mark Allman ranks third with Jamie Valentine in fourth spot and Donnie Ellis Jr. listed in fifth.

On Saturday, June 8, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
