(May
21,
2013) - The fifth annual Must See
Racing 60 presented by Sam Pierce Chevrolet
will bring the fastest short track cars in
the World to Anderson Speedway on Wednesday,
May 22. The TRUFUEL Must See Racing Xtreme
Sprint Series
(MSRXSS) will be competing in their fourth
race of the season.
Drivers that have earned a victory in the
early potion of the MSRXSS season include
Canada’s Ryan Litt at Five Flags Speedway
and California’s Jo Jo Helberg at Mobile
International Speedway in Irvington, Ala.
The event at Anderson is expected to draw
most of the top winged pavement drivers from
around the country. Expected entrants
include: Jason Cox, Troy DeCaire, Cody
Gerhardt, Brian Gerster, Jo Jo Helberg,
Jimmy Kite, Jimmy McCune, Brian Olson, Aaron
Pierce, Tanner Swanson, and Jacob Wilson
among many others.
Local driver, Aaron Pierce, from nearby
Daleville, is no stranger to Anderson
Speedway and particularly sprint car events.
Pierce has won sprint car events at Anderson
Speedway with other sanctioning bodies
including USAC and USSA including the last
two Glen Niebel Classic races. He would like
nothing more than to pick up a MSRXSS win at
his home track.
Joining the winged sprint cars will be the
Mel Kenyon Midgets. They will be making
their second appearance at the quarter-mile
oval in 2013. The initial appearance on
April 14 saw Lebanon’s Spencer Bayston set
quick time and go on to claim the 30-lap
feature.
On Wednesday, May 22, spectator gates open
at 4 p.m. with the racing beginning at 7.
Advance Admission is $10 for adults and $15
day of race. Tickets are $4 for kids ages
6-12 with children five and under getting in
free.
First round qualifications for the 65th Pay
Less Little 500 will take place on Thursday,
May 23, beginning at 1:30 p.m. with the
33-car field set during second round of
qualifications on Friday afternoon. The 65th
