2013) - Anderson Speedway
returns to racing action on Saturday, April
27 with the season debut of the Stealth
Trailers CRA Street Stocks powered by JEGS.
The WMDH ThunderCars, Legends and Front
Wheel Drives Oval will also be in action on
the quarter-mile oval.
The Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks
powered by JEGS will compete in their second
event of the season. In the opener at Lucas
Oil Raceway Park, Dave Bice paced the final
36 circuits to score the victory over Bret
Miles Jr. and Tyler Marsh. The Anderson
Speedway Street Stock competitors will also
be part of the action. Jake McElfrsh won the
division opener on April 6 over Marsh and
Calvin Parham.
After nearly a month after their opening
ThunderCar 100 event, the WMDH ThunderCars
will compete in their initial points event
of 2013. Curtis Chapman earned the 100-lap
victory finishing ahead of Nick Warner and
Robbie Wyman.
The Legends make their second appearance at
Anderson. In the first event on March 30,
Illinois racer Aaron Jones and Kentucky‘s
Josh Dietz took the top two finishing
positions. The remainder of the top five
included Aaron Holden, former division
champion Eric Black and Zach Holden.
Elliott McKinney has taken the early season
points lead in the Front Wheel Drive Oval
division. Three top-five finishes have
helped McKinney construct 38 point lead over
Paul Phipps. Third in the standings is Mike
Alley with Jesse Thomas and Trevin Henson
rounding out the top five.
On Saturday, April 27, spectator gates open
at 4 p.m. with the racing beginning at 7.
Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids
ages 6-12. Children five and under get in
free.
