(April

It proved to be a good night in
Figure-8 Front Wheel Drive division competition last Saturday for Kevin
Henson.
Henson set fast time during qualifications, won the heat race and captured
the feature event with a pass of Elliott McKinney with four laps remaining.
Bill Leisure grabbed the point at the feature event, but he only laid claim
to the position for two laps when McKinney got inside entering turn three.
Henson and Nick Warner passed Leisure on lap five entering turn two. Leisure
bounced off the wall in turn one on the next circuit, ending his night.
With McKinney out front, Henson started to close the gap and for several
laps looked to get inside to take the point.
On lap 11, Henson was able to get underneath McKinney exiting turn four and
went on to win by 1-second. Warner finished third followed by Jerry Lee
Swinford and Mark Allman.
In the heat race, Henson passed both Allman and McKinney on the second lap
to grab the point and went on to win by .8-seconds over McKinney and Warner.
Henson set quick time in qualifying at 20.321-seconds followed by Warner at
20.647-seconds and McKinney with a time of 20.760-seconds.
