Anderson Speedway starts its 66th season of racing action on Saturday, March
30 with a huge racing program on the schedule. The opening event will
showcase the ThunderCar 100 along with Legends, Thunder Roadsters and Front
Wheel Drive Oval divisions.
WMDH ThunderCars have been a regular fixture to open up the Anderson
Speedway season with special events taking place the past several years.
Recent winners include Rob Allman (2012, 2010), Benny Blevins (2011) and
Ronnie Rose (2008).
The Legends will be showcased in a 25-lap feature. In 2012, feature winners
included Jack Dossey Jr., John Robbins and David Moyes lll. The Thunder
Roadsters will compete in a 25-lap main event, marking the first of 10
appearances on the quarter-mile oval. The Front Wheel Drive Oval division
will also be in action on opening night.
Bring the kids for Easter Activities prior to racing presented by Madison
Park Church of God. Fun Easter Kids Games, Face Painting Craft Table and
Pose with the Easter Bunny will also be part of the Easter Activities at
Anderson Speedway.
On Saturday, March 30, spectator gates open at 3 p.m. with the racing
beginning at 6. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12.
Children five and under get in free.
