Smith Claims IOFS SuperKarts Feature

(October 16, 2012) – Ben Smith battled with Jerry Reynolds through the first half of the IOFS SuperKarts feature before taking control of the race on lap 13 and pulling away to his second victory of the year at Anderson Speedway.

Smith and Jerry Reynolds swapped the lead three times in the first eight laps. Smith ran the inside line with Reynolds running on the high side before Smith was able to grab the top spot for good.

David Reynolds grabbed the second spot from his brother on lap 22. Ryan Cherry slipped inside of Austin Tunney on lap 21 on the front straight, Cherry passed Jerry Reynolds on the final lap with an inside move entering turn one.

David Reynolds and Cherry finished second and third and Jerry Reynolds faded to fourth with Garry Taylor coming home in fifth.

Cherry won the IOFS SuperKarts championship over David Reynolds.
