Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series Returns on Saturday Night

(August15, 2012) – Racing action returns to Anderson Speedway on Saturday, August 18 with the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series showcased in the Mitch Smith Auto Service 50. The racing program will also include WMDH ThunderCars, Legends and G.W. Pierce Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s.

The Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series will compete at Anderson Speedway for the second and final occasion on Saturday night. Jason Blonde won the Must See Racing 60 presented by Sam Pierce Chevrolet in May after his teammate and race leader Tanner Swanson dropped out of competition with a mechanical problem. Blonde flashed across the finish line ahead of Kody Swanson with Troy Decaire in third position.

Jo Jo Helberg sits atop the season point standings heading into this weekend’s action with Jacob Wilson in second spot and Brian Olson in third position. Jason Cox and Mike Larrison round out the top five.

In the WMDH ThunderCars, defending division champion Hannah Lundy holds a 21-point lead over Rob Allman. Seven top-10 finishes have placed Earl Adams lll in third position with Pam Neal and Frankie Oakes rounding out the top five.

The Legends will make a fourth season appearance on the high-banked quarter-mile oval with three drivers visiting the winner’s circle in the opening three races. Jack Dossey Jr. won the opener in March with David Moyes lll and John Robbins scoring June victories.

Mike Alley continues to pace the G.W. Pierce Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s standings with last week’s winner Donnie Ellis Jr. in the runner-up position. The remainder of the top five includes Kevin Henson, Harry Lashure and Elliott McKinney completing the top five.

On Saturday, August 18, spectator gates open at 4:45 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $15 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
