(May
7, 2012) – Nick Warner is showing why he’s won multiple
championships in Front Wheel Drive Figure-8 action over the years at
Anderson Speedway.
Warner won his second consecutive International Outlaw Figure-8 feature for
the Front Wheel Drive division on Saturday and recorded his third
consecutive win in the division.
Although Warner has won three features in a row, he is being strongly
challenged by Elliott McKinney each weekend.
Warner led all 15 laps of the feature by opening a comfortable lead over
Mike Alley and McKinney, who was the fast qualifier.
McKinney worked the entire race to get around Alley to challenge for the
win, but to no avail. At the finish it was Warner, Alley, McKinney Donnie
Ellis Jr. and Kevin Henson rounding out the top five.
In the first of two heat race, Warner again led the entire race distance in
recording the victory with Ellis in pursuit and Alley running third.
McKinney slowed during the heat race while running fourth.
Kevin Henson won the second heat race passing Harry Lashure on the second
lap entering turn one. Rickie Craig passed Lashure on lap five on the front
straight to claim the second position. Lashure, Trevin Henson and David
Powell rounded out the top five.
