Jeff Lane Prepared for Strong Run
(May
1, 2011) –
Series veteran Jeff Lane will return to Anderson
Speedway for the CRA Super Series rescheduled Seal Wrap 125 presented by
Great Deals Savings Magazine.
“The key to get back to Winner's Circle is to be better prepared and have a
better car coming off the trailer,” said Jeff Lane. “We had good cars last
year but we just didn't have a good car right when we got there. If you can
start the day off fast that means better track position which is very
important at Anderson.”
Last season, Lane competed in both of the CRA events held at Anderson with
posting a fifth place finish in April and 17th in the Welch & Wilson
Motorsports Redbud 300 after getting caught up in an accident.
In March, Lane participated in both open practice sessions at Anderson to
fine tune his No. 11 Chevrolet.
“Both practice days were beneficial with dialing in the car. It was great to
knock the rust off before race day. We got some things figured out on the
car. We are trying to get back to some older set up technology and then tie
that into some newer stuff. The jury is still out but we will find out soon
if it works.”
Lane has claimed two CRA Super Series victories at the high-banked
quarter-mile oval. He drove into the winner’s circle in 2004 and 2006. He
has also posted four runner-up performances and two finishes of third.
“Winning the two races at Anderson mean a great deal to me. More than most
of the others with all the success I've had there and all my local ties.”
Lane has sponsorship backing from Ed Martin Auto Group, Tom True Auto and
Kingen Industries.
Don’t miss the CRA Super Series Late Models when they invade Anderson
Speedway on Saturday, May 7 in the Seal Wrap 125 presented by Great Deals
Savings Magazine.
