Earl Adams Looking to Build
on '10 Success

5, 2011) – Veteran
racer Earl Adams ll returns to the WMDH ThunderCar division aiming to continue
his improvement in the competitive division. This year, Adams will be joined
again on the track by his brother Ronald Adams and Earl’s fiancée Cassandra
Randell is planning to climb behind the wheel of a third Adams Brothers car at
Anderson Speedway.
“I want to start the 2011 season just like it ended last year,” said Earl Adams
ll. “If we can continue to put together top-five finishes and not experience any
DNF’s, placing in the top three in season points is a possibility.”
In the final six events of the 2010 season in the WMDH ThunderCars, Adams posted
five top-five finishes with a best showing of third spot on August 14. He
finished a career best fourth in the final point standings after registering
five top fives and 12 top 10s in 13 races.
“Last season was a blast,” added Adams. “It was the first time we ran for points
and had a good year with finishing in fourth position and my brother (Ronald)
winning Rookie of the Year.”
Ronald Adams finished in eighth position in the final season rundown with one
top-five finish and six top 10s. His best finish was fifth on May 28.
Earl Adams is looking forward to competing in both of the ThunderCar Enduro
events during the 2011 season.
The ThunderCars will be featured in the next event at Anderson Speedway when the
200-lap Enduro event will showcase many of the stars and former champions
against top drivers from outside the area in a $3,000 to win event on Saturday,
March 26.
The WMDH ThunderCars will begin their points season during Opening Night slated
for Saturday, April 2. That program will also feature the resurgence of the Late
Models as a regular division. Other classes in action include Figure 8’s and the
Front Wheel Drive Oval division.
