Warner Advances to Street
Stock Division

3, 2011) – Five-time
Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 Champion driver Nick Warner along with owner Jim
Warner will compete for the 2011 Street Stock title and also be a regular
fixture with the CRA Street Stocks.
“Moving up to the Street Stocks and CRA Street Stocks will be very challenging,”
said Nick Warner. “We will have to work twice as hard as the past couple of
years. This season my goals are simple, win.”
Last season, Warner captured his fifth Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 crown in six
seasons the division has been held at Anderson Speedway. His season stats
included seven feature victories, six fast times, 11 top-five finishes and 12
top 10s in the 13 race schedule.
“The 2010 season proved to be tough. It felt like I had a target on my back most
of the season no matter what division I was racing,” added Warner.
Warner also made a few appearances in the Figure 8 division, scoring three
top-five finishes with a best finish of second during Figure 8 Madness. He also
drove The No. 9 machine to a runner-up finish in the opening ThunderCar Enduro,
held in March.
The racing season began for Warner during the New Year’s Bash last month,
collecting the winning hardware in the Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s, fourth
place run in the ThunderCars and a 15th in the Front Wheel Drive Oval division.
