CRA Street Stocks Return This Weekend for EDCO Welding & Hydraulics

Speedway returns to racing action this weekend with the CRA Street Stocks
showcased in the EDCO Welding & Hydraulics Service 300. The WMDH ThunderCar division
will also be part of the racing program on Saturday night.
The CRA Street Stocks will make their second season appearance at Anderson
Speedway in the EDCO Welding & Hydraulics Service 300. This long distance race
is the marquee event of the season paying a $5,000 winner’s check. Many of the
Anderson Speedway Street Stock competitors will also be part of this event.
Rich Boyer earned the most recent CRA Street Stock feature on May 8. He topped
the 33 car field with Jason Thompson and Jeff Lane completing the podium
finishers. Scott Neal and Josh Poore rounded out the top five.
Through the opening five CRA Street Stock events, five different drivers have
visited the winner’s circle. Illinois racer Josh Nelms grabbed the Plymouth
victory in April with the for mentioned Boyer winning at Anderson and Bret Miles
Sr. scoring Winchester’s top honors on May 16. Steve Christman claimed the
Winchester checkers on May 23 with Jeff Lane becoming the most recent winner on
June 13 at Mt. Lawn Speedway.
In the WMDH ThunderCar division, Rob Wyman Sr. holds a slim 30 point advantage over
veteran campaigner Rod Phipps. The remainder of the top five includes Sam
Folsom, Hannah Lundy and Rob Allman.
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. on Saturday with racing beginning at 8. Admission
is $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in
free.
