Rescheduled New Year's Day Bash on Saturday Afternoon

Anderson Speedway begins the 63rd season of racing action on Saturday, March 13 with the rescheduled 12th Annual New Year’s Day Bash. Featured divisions include Pure Stocks, ThunderCars, Front Wheel Drives (Oval and Figure 8’s) and Mini Cups.

The New Year’s Day Bash annual draws nearly 100 cars that compete on the World’s Fastest Quarter-Mile Oval on January 1. Feature winners last year included Josh Burton (Street Stocks), Ricky Tharp (Figure 8’s), Dustin Burge (ThunderCars), Nick Warner (Front Wheel Drive Oval & Figure 8’s) and Tim Phillips (Mini Cups).

On Saturday, March 13, spectator gates open at 11 a.m. with the racing program going green at approximately 1 p.m.

General admission tickets will be priced at $10 for adults, $4 for children 6-12 with kids five and under admitted free. Fans can get $1 off their tickets with the donation of a non-perishable food item for Second Harvest Food Bank. An additional $1 discount is available for fans that wear green to the track to celebrate the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day.
