Kids Bicycle Races on Saturday Night
Racing
action returns to Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 12 when the Family
Appreciation Night will be showcased at the world’s fastest quarter-mile oval.
Featured divisions include Street Stocks, ImmediaDent Figure 8’s and the
inaugural appearance of the Vore’s Welding and Supply CRA FWD Compacts.
Admission for adults is $5 with children 12 and under admitted for free.
In the Street Stock point standings, Bret Miles holds a 92 point advantage over
three-time division champion Rich Boyer, who scored the CRA Street Stock victory
at Winchester Speedway during the Stock Car Festival. The remainder of the top
five in the point standings includes Rob Allman, Randy Hoppes and Bruce McFall.
Former ImmediaDent Figure 8’s champion Jeff Swinford extended his points lead
with a victory in the most recent event on August 29. The Noblesville racer
leads Mike Riddle Jr. by 59 points with Ricky Tharp in third position. The
remainder of the top five includes Johnny Magee and Shawn Cullen.
Tim Dilg paces the Vore’s Welding and Steel FWD Compacts with Rex Zimmerman
listed in the second position. Third is Brian Redmond with Jeff Williams and
Bill Charles founding out the top five.
On Saturday Night, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at
8.
Kids
Bicycle races will be featured at Anderson Speedway starting at 7:30 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early for enough time to register for the
event.
